March 26, 2025 – Solana Ecosystem – ATMTA, the developer behind the groundbreaking blockchain-based space exploration game Star Atlas, has announced a strategic partnership with SingularityNET, a founding member of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance. This collaboration aims to integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into the Star Atlas metaverse, offering players an immersive, intelligent, and evolving gaming experience.
Through this partnership, Star Atlas will implement SingularityNET’s Autonomous Intelligent Reinforcement Interpreted Symbolism (AIRIS) system and OpenCog Hyperon framework. These systems enable the creation of adaptive AI agents and non-playable characters (NPCs) that evolve through interaction, learning, and in-game progression.
“Integrating advanced AI is about building the ultimate world-building moments and celebrating players in our dynamic, decentralized ecosystem,” said Michael Wagner, Co-founder and CEO of ATMTA. “AI agents will support players in onboarding, questing, progression, and will even help scale and personalize the expansive universe of Star Atlas.”
AIRIS and OpenCog Hyperon are also foundational to SophiaVerse, a collaborative project between SingularityNET and Hanson Robotics that uses the Sophia humanoid robot to explore human-AI cooperation through tools, games, and decentralized governance.
“By embedding SingularityNET frameworks into Web3 gameplay, we’re not only enriching user experience—we’re advancing the co-evolution between humans and AIs in virtual worlds that increasingly mirror the complexity of our own,” said Dr. Ben Goertzel, CEO and founder of SingularityNET.
Set in the year 2620, Star Atlas is an ambitious next-generation sci-fi MMORPG built on the Solana blockchain. The game combines space exploration, economic strategy, and decentralized governance. While still in development, Star Atlas has released early access experiences such as the “Showroom” on the Epic Games Store and SAGE Labs, a browser-based extension of its universe.
This partnership exemplifies a broader trend within the Web3 space, as blockchain projects increasingly adopt artificial intelligence technologies. According to CoinGecko, the combined market capitalization of AI agents currently stands at $4.8 billion, with $1.3 billion allocated to AI-focused launchpads.
The collaboration also aligns with the broader mission of the ASI Alliance (Artificial Superintelligence Alliance), which envisions a future where decentralized networks and token economies accelerate the path toward artificial general intelligence (AGI) while empowering global developer and player communities.
